This excursion allows you to discover the way of living of the rainbow nation of Mauritius and one of the most beautiful gardens of the world: The Pamplemousses Garden. The day starts with a nice walk in this 25 acres garden, which consists of 500 different species of plants and spectacular flowers. The most interesting ones are the giant water lilies, the spice garden and the Talipot palm tree, which blooms when it reaches sixty years of age before dying. You will also see the giant Aldabras Proceed to the Sugar Museum in Beau Plan. At the heart of a real sugar factory entirely restored, you will discover a modern and spectacular presentation of the history of sugar and Mauritius against a background of original equipment and huge mill wheels. Later you will be taken to Port Louis, the capital city with its fascinating cultural diversity where one can see cathedrals, pagodas, mosques and Hindu temples. Discover colonial buildings, the Champ de Mars –the oldest race track of the Indian Ocean –and the famous Fort Adelaide –known as La Citadel. Then proceed to the Caudan Waterfront and its shops are waiting for you for some brand & souvenir shopping. You will get the opportunity to buy some souvenirs of Mauritius to bring to your country for your loved ones. Dinner at Resort.

On your way to Curepipe, stop a few minutes at Trou aux Cerfs, the crater of an extinct volcano to admire the panoramic view on the West and Northwest part of Mauritius. Travel through the protected forests of Macchabée, it contains interesting specimens of indigenous timber, namely Bois de Natte, Colophane, Ebony, Takamaka, as well as fine plants, peculiar to the island, such as the Trochetia, the national flower of Mauritius. Grand Bassin is a natural lake created by an accumulation of water in the crater of an extinct volcano. It is a holy place for the Hindu community and once a year, for the Maha Shivaratri festival (Shiva’s Day), thousands of pilgrims go there. It is a famous and fascinating lake in the middle of a secluded mountain, deep in the heart of Mauritius. It lies about 700 metres above sea level and is surrounded by natural scenery of breathtaking Dinner at Resort.

(Breakfast & Dinner) After breakfast you will enjoy full day Ile aux Cerfs Island. You will get to spend a full day at Ile aux Cerfs, having a delicious lunch at the Masala Indian restaurant situated along the main beach of Ile aux Cerfs. As part of this trip you will stay on one of the picture-postcard beaches of Ile aux Cerfs and enjoy swimming and snorkelling in the beautiful lagoon surrounding the Island. You can also take advantage of the wide range of facilities available on the island and of the various water sports. The Ile aux Cerfs day tour starts with a boat transfer to Ile aux Cerfs Island. The boat transfer is done in the comfortable spacious motor boat, and the boat trip takes about 15 As you approach the island by boat, you will see the swaying filaos trees and the pure white Beaches framed by the vivid turquoise waters. You will have free time to spend on the beach, going for a stroll, swimming in the lagoon, snorkelling or just relaxation and tanning. Dinner at Resort.
